BYU Bowl BBQ Bash

without comments

This past Saturday I hosted 30 people for some bbq and football at my house. We watched BYU hold off a last minute charge by UCLA to win the “Las Vegas Bowl.” What a great time.

Friends and BBQ sure do go together. We all had a great time and I had the chance to cook for some people that really appreciated it.

15 pounds of pulled pork, 12 pounds of brisket, 6 racks of pork ribs, fatties, ABTs, Keri C’s beans along with assorted chips, dips, deviled eggs and such. There wasn’t much left over.

BYU Themed Smoker Names

without comments

For some BBQ enthusiasts there is a tradition of naming their smokers. Up until last night I had never put much though into naming them. However after hosting 35 people for the first BYU Bowl BBQ Bash and the Cougars defeat of the dreaded UCLA Bruins I have decided to name all the smokers/grills in honor of my team!

New Braunfels Bandera (Bronco)
New Braunfels Silver Smoker (Lavelle)
Weber Kettle (Ole Blue)
Great Outdoors Smokey Mountain (Cosmo)
Ugly Drum Smoker (Cougar)
