Burger King Ribs! Yes I Actually Ate Them

It took a lot for me to venture into Burger King to eat the new ribs they have been advertising. Of all the fast food restaurants on Earth, Burger King is my least favorite. I can’t stand the Whopper and that Burger “King” guy just plain creeps me out. So, going into Burger King with the sole purpose of eating BBQ was against almost everything I know to be true. But, I did it for my readers.

I ordered the 6 rib combo meal and my first indication that I wasn’t getting what I expected was that the 6 ribs weren’t really ribs at all.  More like riblettes.   These things are tiny, and at the price I paid for them it would make them one of the most expensive rib meals out there.

The second surprise was that upon eating them they weren’t as bad as I had expected.   Now before you think I’ve gone completely off the BBQ deep end let me state again they weren’t as bad as I had expected.  They actually were better than I had expected.  This statement is not be confused with thinking the ribs were good, just that the bar was set pretty low.

There’s less than 2 bites of meat per rib, so you aren’t going to get filled up on these things.  I ate mine without any BBQ sauce on them I wanted to be able to taste the meat.  The flavor was okay, it didn’t taste that bad.  I’m not sure what the actually cooking process is but I could swear there was a little smoke flavor.  Probably chemically induced, but smoke flavor was there none the less.

Would I go back?  No.  Would I recommend you go buy some Burger King ribs?  No.  Certainly, though if you get curious it wouldn’t be the worst rib you’ve ever eaten.

Hello, Thanks for the review. How would you compare the BK ribs to McDonalds McRib?
I’m not sure if you have tried the McRib, I have a few times.. it’s ok, I’m going to try the BK ribs or maybe I won’t because everyone says it’s too expensive. Heck, I might as well go to my local soul food shack and get a bbq dinner plate for that price lol.

You really can’t compare the two. The McRib is not ribs. It’s really an extruded meat product. And it’s a sandwich. I’d eat a McRib over the BK Ribs any day. Besides the BK Ribs are way to expensive.

  • Nice review man! I found yours through a Google search. Here’s my burger king ribs review.
