Last weekend I traveled to Spring Valley to visit my mother for her 70th Birthday. With a large group of family members I got the job of cooking the birthday meal.
I needed a side dish to go with the grilled tri-tips we were having so I decided to adapt the Trash Bag Potatoes recipe from No Excuses BBQ with a new “Season All” I received from Simply Marvelous BBQ. I followed the recipe except I substituted the spices with the Season All.
A bag of mixed potatoes from Costco gave the dish a rather unique color and the flavor of the different types of potatoes complimented both the flavors from the salad dressings and the Season All.
The Simply Marvelous Season All isn’t like most season alls or seasoned salt you buy commercially. It provides a much more robust flavor that enhances the flavors of the ingredients instead of overpowering.
With the different spices and herbs in the season all it helped to give the potatoes a nice golden color while grilling. I only had a gas grill with some cherry wood chips for smoke so I wasn’t able to give the season all the true work out i wanted to, but it came out very nice.
I’m looking forward to trying the Season All on some chicken and pork. If you are interested in purchasing some “Simply Marvelous Season All” drop Stephan an email at info@simplymarvelousbbq.com

Season All is also great on a lot of “not BBQ” stuff. We like it on french fries, popcorn, veggies, etc. I also like to mix it with some of his other rubs for a nice variation! GREAT STUFF!!!!
Steph’s website is up and looks great!
You can order the rub directly from there.

Nice looking color in the potatoes. I’ve never grilled whole potatoes before. How long do they take?

This “Season-All” truly is Simply Marvelous! Thanks, Steph!!!
Yes, it does contain MSG.
Does it contain MSG?
Nice write up and thanks for trying our new product!
This is a very nice variation on original recipe Trashbag Potatoes. I especially like the use of the mixed-colored potatoes.
Steph has another great product there. First I couldnt get Tom to stay out of his sauce, now this has almost replaced all my other all purpose seasonings in the spice drawer. It rocks. Hadnt tried it on spuds yet, but now I will…. Thanks Larry.
